Weekend catchup

I nealry managed to blog from my phone but couldn't get a picture uploaded - so it defeated the object somewhat. So a bit of a catchup
This is a tree that me and my brother used to climb when we were little and this is a picture of becca and phil's son Jake doing the same, 30 years on.

There is a lady who lives near mum who keeps an up to date scene of whicker animals in her garden - this was the boat race for yesterday.

My gorgeous girls and their gorgeous cousins.

And finally a very very beautiful cake from a brialliant wedding on Saturday - very emotional groom - lots of tears from me!

Poorly Jodie

I know i shouldn't wish that small girls are ill but a mild dose of puking this mroning meant i couldn't send Jodie to nursery and had to stay at home - Hooray. In fact there were 2 parents competing for the position of staying at home person - luckily Ian earns more than me so I got the long straw. Just for the record - she wasn't sick again and has been full of beans all afternoon.....

Wednesday 25th march

I think i've finally lost it - in an attempt to do 'something' with my hair I have turned to heated rollers..........it could be a disaster - who knows.

Catching up

Absent for a few days but back now....

Twickenham on Staurday was brilliant - the sun shone, England won and I drank my own body weight in Magners and Guiness ( not in the same glass - but lethal all the same). Ian and I had a very strange encounter with the man that owns the paper shop in Brookwood - late on in the curry house, and we saw lots of men wearing skirts - Good times!

Mothers day was lovely - i snuck in a run at mums - lack of running buddy - but glad i hauled my ass out of the house and then we took mum and dad for a Chinese buffet type of thing. Jodie was so tired after a busy day at the zoo on Saturday that she put her tiger on the table and had a little nap......

Grandma and the small people.

And i guess i need one for today.........

Bought this album today and i think it will make me very happy
(and don't you just love my PJs)

Jodie bought home her Mothers day present from Nursery today and she has grown it all by herself!

And because i haven't put her on here for a few days.......

Becca fast asleep zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Wednesday, 18 March 2009

The sun shone, I had a sneaky bonus run with Cath (good speed!), a nightmare man from Tesco sent me an email to tell me he was leaving (hoorah) and I sent Jodie to nursery with no knickers on. I suspect it doesn't get much better.
And this was the stamp Jodie got for 'doing good French' at Nursery.

17th March 2009

And this my friends, is where to put your wedding ring while you play hockey!

16th March 2009

I hope I'm not breaking rules by having more than 1 picture - i'm sure the novelty will wear off soon!

Following the debacle that was trying to find my wedding ring in my car yesterday, I thought it was time to attack the horror that is my car. Jodie was a very keen helper and I promise i didn't leave her in the boot for too long. She was happy because she found money....

Given that it really did feel as though spring had arrived we headed off to the park after lunch to feed the birds and run around like nutters. Jodie made good use of the new stuff in Calderstones Park that Cath and I have run past - but not stopped to use yet.
I love Mondays........

15th March 2009

What a brilliant day. In the swimming pool before 9, running with Cath at 10.30, Ian cycling after that and then I found my wedding ring (which wasn't really lost given that it was in my car all the time....). And as the picture shows - spring is on the verge of being here - daffodills and all!
Marvelous perfromance by Mossley 1's and the England rugby team - looking forward to Twickenham next week.......
Brilliant week - brilliant friends - it doesn't get much better.

14th March 09

So - I really can't promise one a day - but i'll give it a go!!

Here are Becca and Jodie ready to go off for their first ballet medal exam. Jodie screamed for 5 minutes while I got her hair in a bun, but as you can see she was happy as Larry by this point. They both did very well and I had a bit of a moment as I dropped them off with Ian before rushing off to play hockey (and scoring my second ever goal!!!).

I want to change the layout of this - but don't know how so this will have to do for now...
